Companion animals need loving homes this holiday season More than 50 dogs available for adoption at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley
Boulder, Colo., December 12, 2008 -- The Humane Society of Boulder Valley currently has more than 50 dogs available for adoption and is hopeful that anyone who has been waiting to add a companion to their family will come and visit now.
"The holiday season is a time when many families consider opening their homes to a new companion animal," said CEO Lisa Pedersen. "Our adoption counselors can help you find the perfect companion animal for your family."
"With the downturn in the economy, people are spending more time at home and having a loving pet to come home to can be a wonderful enrichment to people's lives."
If you can't adopt a companion animal, please consider sponsoring one on behalf of your friends and family. On average, it costs the Humane Society of Boulder Valley $293 to care for an animal during its stay with us and financial contributions made to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley directly benefit our animals.
The Humane Society of Boulder Valley is open seven days a week and is located at 2323 55th Street, Boulder. Call 303-442-4030 for directions and more information; or visit our adoption areas online to see the dogs, cats and others waiting for new families.
